ABOUT THIS ITEM
Excellent pair of 18th-century Dutch Delftware chargers in blue and white with an ochre rim. The center is decorated in cobalt with a vase containing an arrangement of peacock feathers and flowers, a classic Delft motif. The rim features stylized flower heads set against a scrolling ground, characteristic of mid-18th-century decorative design.
Marked ‘MP’ for De Metaale Pot (The Metal Pot), produced during the tenure of Pieter Paree, owner of the factory from 1756 to 1771/1775. De Metaale Pot was among the key Delft workshops.
Condition: Very good; minor wear consistent with age.
Very good condition; light chipping and usual wear to the rim.
