Nevers. Earthenware plate with polychrome decoration of a bird, 18th century
This bowl with a scalloped edge has a polychrome floral decoration in blue, orange and green, occupying the basin and overflowing onto the wing. A basket of chicory flowers welcomes an exotic blue bird with orange wings ready to fly away. The terrace supporting the decor represents a sort of flat rock where the basket is placed. A fine blue stripe follows the edge of the wing and is decorated with stylized chicory seedlings.

Good quality of painting. I love these kind of dishes in a country kitchen, as a fruit bowl or as wall decoration.
Very good condition.
