Pair of antique Dutch Delft plates dating from around 1800. Each plate is hand-painted in cobalt blue on a white tin-glazed surface, showing a central urn with surrounding floral decoration in the Empire style. The design reflects the early nineteenth-century transition in Delftware toward neoclassical forms and balanced composition.
This pair represents early nineteenth-century Dutch Delft pottery from the Empire period, produced in the Netherlands. Suitable for collectors of Delftware, blue and white ceramics, or European tin-glazed earthenware.
