Delft ‘Peacock’ charger by The Claauw – second half 18th century

Dutch Delft blue and white ‘Peacock’ plate, second half 18th century. With ochre rim, the center decorated in cobalt with a vase containing an arrangement of peacock feathers and flowers. The rim decorated with stylized flower heads against a scrolling ground.

Marked De Klaauw (The Claw). Dates: 1661-1840.
Very good condition; light chipping and usual wear to the rim.
